How Wedding Planning Works at Crete Within Weddings?

The wedding planning flow explained…

When should you book a wedding planner? Ideally, before making major commitments - especially before booking your wedding venue. But what happens after you contact us?

At Crete Within Weddings, we don't begin by offering you a ready-made wedding or a list of suppliers to choose from. We begin by understanding what you want to create, what matters to you and what is realistically possible within your budget.

Step 1. We start with a conversation

Our first meeting is complimentary as we offer a complimentary initial consultation in response to every wedding inquiry. It is an opportunity to discuss your ideas, approximate guest numbers, preferred dates, budget expectations and the kind of experience you want to share with your guests.

We also explain how we work, what our planning services include and which level of support might be appropriate for you.

There is no obligation to make an immediate decision. Choosing a wedding planner is a relationship built on trust, and both sides should feel comfortable working together.

Step 2. We begin with the venue

We believe the venue should be one of the first major decisions in planning a destination wedding in Crete. The location influences almost everything that follows: the guest experience, catering, transport, event timings, design possibilities and overall wedding budget.

A private villa, a winery, a seaside restaurant and a countryside estate may all offer beautiful settings, but they come with very different practical requirements. Our role is to help you understand these differences before you commit.

For couples who are not yet ready to book full-scale wedding planning, we offer a Venue Scouting Consulting Package - professional guidance focused specifically on finding the right wedding location in Crete. We want you to feel confident about your venue before committing to the next stage of planning.

Important (!) If you decide to continue with CWW for full-scale wedding planning, the venue scouting consultation fee will be deducted from your planning fee.

Step 3. We build the wedding around your chosen place

Once the venue and date are confirmed, we can develop the rest of the celebration around them.

This is where full-scale wedding planning becomes a structured collaboration: we work on the budget, recommend suitable suppliers, develop the design direction, organise logistics and gradually bring all the elements together.

Rather than asking you to choose from a standard wedding package, we help you make decisions based on your priorities, the character of the venue and the experience you want to create.

We also explain costs and practical limitations along the way. Good planning should make decisions clearer, not create unnecessary expenses.

Step 4. We coordinate the people and the details

A wedding involves many independent professionals, each responsible for a different part of the celebration. Our job is to make sure their work connects: from catering and equipment to photography, flowers, music, transportation and the wedding-day schedule.

As the date approaches, we bring the details together into a coordinated plan so that everyone involved understands their responsibilities.

And on the wedding day, our team is there to oversee the agreed arrangements, manage the schedule and respond to the unexpected.

So, How Early Should You Contact Us?

If you are planning a destination wedding in Crete, we recommend getting in touch before booking your venue - ideally when you have an approximate date, guest count and budget in mind.

You don't need to have every detail figured out. That is part of what professional wedding planning is for. And you don't necessarily need to commit to full-scale planning immediately. Sometimes the right first step is simply finding the right venue.

Whether you're ready for full-scale planning or simply need help finding your venue, we'd be happy to discuss where to begin.
