Sveta

Founder & Creative Force behind CWW

Hi, I’m Sveta - founder of CWW and the heart behind everything we do here. I started this wedding planning agency back in 2010, after falling completely in love with Crete.

I’m originally from a big, cold northern city, and when I first came to Crete in 2008, it was like stepping into another world—warmer, slower, more grounded. That instant connection with the island changed everything for me. And because I know what it feels like to come from a fast-paced urban life, I understand what couples are often searching for when they choose to get married here: something real, soulful, and deeply rooted in nature.

My background is in management and filmmaking, and those two worlds come together beautifully in this work. Planning a wedding isn’t just about logistics - it’s about vision, storytelling, atmosphere.

  • I love creating immersive events that truly reflect each couple, while embracing the spirit of Crete.

    Every wedding we create is inspired by the island—its traditions, wild beauty, and community. We work closely with local vendors and often plan celebrations in unexpected, breathtaking places. I personally oversee every step of the process, making sure no detail is missed and that everything flows with intention and heart.

    One thing I always say: we’re not just planners—we’re a bridge between cultures. It’s not about making things work like they do “back home,” but understanding how things work here and blending those worlds with care. That’s where the magic really happens.

    What I love most? The incredible variety of couples we meet. Every culture brings something different to the table, and it’s a joy to see how love looks and feels across the world.

    If I am not planning your wedding, you find me surfing, documenting, travelling and most surely attending music concerts.

Wedding coordinator & marketing

Hi, I’m Lana, my journey into weddings began three years ago, when Sveta invited me to coordinate my very first ceremony. With my background in photography, retreat organisation as a yoga teacher, and years of working closely with people, she sensed I’d be the right fit for the team. She was right. The moment I witnessed the power of “I do,” I knew I had found my place—surrounded by love in its purest form.

Since then, our team has grown into a seamless collaboration, each of us bringing unique life experiences, cultural backgrounds, and passions—united here on the island of Crete. Drawn to its raw beauty and vibrant energy, we’ve created a space where couples can celebrate their love in the most meaningful way.

At CWW, I work both behind the scenes and by your side:

  • On your wedding day: coordinating, guiding, and supporting so everything flows with ease and grace.

  • Beyond the wedding day: leading our marketing efforts and sharing our story with the world.

As a devoted yoga practitioner and teacher, I also offer spiritual ceremonies—heartfelt, intentional celebrations inspired by nature, energy, and the sacred spirit of Crete.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me camping, hiking, or deepening my connection with the earth—a grounding practice that I carry into every wedding I support.

Daria

Hi, I’m Daria! I speak Greek, Russian, and English, and although I originally studied Medieval History, my true path has always been about organizing and creating memorable experiences. I started working at 19 and have spent over 8 years as a tour guide here in Crete—so I know the island’s hidden gems like the back of my hand.

At the agency, I take care of everything around the wedding day—from pre- and post-wedding parties to transfers and entertainment activities. I help our brides find the best hair and makeup artists, manage communication with vendors, coordinate on the big day, and often accompany couples during location viewings.

In addition to weddings, I also manage social media for various brands across Crete and Greece. I’m a big foodie, always on the hunt for atmospheric spots, and I love music concerts, traveling, and curling up with a good book and hot coffee in winter. One day, I dream of visiting Scotland.
