Alexandra and Jonathan’s wedding was exactly that. A celebration so aligned with our own values and aesthetics that it quickly became one of the most talked-about weddings we’ve planned. It’s no surprise that it was featured across several wedding blogs, and we couldn’t be happier that the heart and ethics behind their celebration resonated so deeply.
This wasn’t our first time planning a wedding at Biolea, a truly unique venue tucked into the serene mountains of the Chania region. But Alex and John brought their own energy—a soft, intentional, and beautifully grounded one that blended seamlessly with the raw landscape.
Their vision reflected ours in so many ways: intimate, conscious, and rooted in the spirit of place.
Sustainability was the key. The entire decor was thoughtfully curated with local produce, foraged elements, and minimalist floral design, allowing the natural beauty of the venue to speak for itself. Nothing felt excessive—yet everything felt rich, vibrant, and full of life. The surroundings and the decor didn’t compete—they enhanced each other in quiet harmony.
Even the guests felt like part of the design—each one adding to the energy, each one fully present.
And then there was Alex’s dress: a true piece of wearable art, worthy of every mention and all the admiration it received. Delicate, bold, and deeply her.
The entire day unfolded like a story—elegant and understated, yet full of movement and emotion.
There were all the elements of a full wedding day: quiet preparation, a heartfelt ceremony, a slow and soulful dinner, emotional speeches, a cake moment, live music… and then, of course, a party that carried us late into the night.
